The arena was inaugurated in 2007 and replaced the former national arena, which was demolished in 2003 and stood on the same site. Today, Wembley has an audience capacity of 90,000 during football matches and 70,000 during concerts, making it the second largest arena in all of Europe.

Getting to Wembley is easy. It is possible to travel by train and tube here, which takes about 40 minutes from central London. With several stations to choose from around the arena area, the risk of congestion is also reduced. However, very many choose to spend the hours before the match inside the arena thanks to the good selection of food and drink. The Premier League started on 12/9 and initially the stands will be closed. The clubs' arenas are approved for reduced capacity and when fans are welcome in the stands, it is anything from 20% -40% as it looks right now.
