On the east coast of Spain you will find the country's third largest city, Valencia. The city has the busiest port on the west coast of the Mediterranean and handles about 20 percent of Spain's exports. In addition to cargo ships, there are many passenger ships from the port to, among others. a Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Cabrera).

The climate is warm almost all year round, with a small dip in December - February. The high summer in June - August offers temperatures around 30 degrees and the risk of rain is very low during this period. It is said that Valencia will be one of Europe's most sun-safe cities.

Attractions to experience in Valencia

Valencia's old town El Carmen is located in the middle of the city and is incredibly cozy and genuine. Lots of new and old architecture mingle with classic tapas bars. Feel free to visit the old silk exchange, La Lonja, which is a UNESCO-labeled Gothic building from the 15th century.

In Valencia you can visit Europe's largest (third largest in the world) Aquarium Oceanogràfic. Well worth a visit! The aquarium is divided into different habitats such as the Arctic, the Tropics and the Oceans. Here is also one of the world's largest dolphinariums.

A big advantage of visiting a coastal city like Valencia is that you can easily combine the metropolitan pulse with a day at the beach. The four kilometer long sandy beach La Malvarrosa is incredibly popular with both tourists and locals. On the beautiful promenade there are simpler restaurants where you can enjoy a paella and a glass of wine.

Food and drinks

The Spanish classic Paella, originates from Valencia. The tasty, saffron-yellow rice dish originated in the early 18th century and is available in endless variations. The original Paella Valencia contains i.a. a rice, chicken, rabbit and beans. Varieties with seafood are also very common.

Valencia is the largest region in Spain for citrus exports. There are miles of orchards, clementines and lemons here. Eating an orange that has ripened on the tree is a taste experience you must not miss, a big difference from those that have ripened in a cargo area!

Sports in Valencia

Spain is a football nation of rank, and Valencia is no exception. Here Valencia CF plays in Spain's highest league La Liga. The club was founded as early as 1919, and plays its home games at the Estadio de Mestalla. The stands are said to be among the steepest in the world, the slope is no longer allowed by UEFA for new construction.

Premier League – Reduced capacity to start

The Premier League started on 12/9 and initially the stands will be closed. The clubs' arenas are approved for reduced capacity and when fans are welcome in the stands, it is anything from 20% -40% as it looks right now.

How does this affect you as a traveler?
You have probably read in the media that the places that are released will only go to members of the club. This is to some extent true, but we are proud to announce that GO Sport Travel, through long and very good relations with the clubs, will keep our agreements in line with the reduced capacity the clubs will soon present.
With the help of GO Sport Travel AB, you can continue to be one of those who sit in the stands and experience the Premier League live, already in October!

It is planned that each visitor needs to take certain wise measures, such as wearing a mouth guard, etc. In addition, each visitor's name will be printed on the ticket, and subsequent identity checks will take place upon arrival at the arena area.
In short, each visitor must have their ticket registered by the club. The registration is of course handled by GO Sport Travel on behalf of the visitor.

The clubs are very happy to have a high level of security in which visitors they have in place, both for themselves and the visitors. The clubs also hope that the number of less desirable ticket players will decrease. We encourage you to be observant when listening to other actors.

There may be ticket / tour operators who will convey that the above restrictions will not be required, but this is not correct information.
We look forward to announcing soon when we, together with the clubs, open the sale for the upcoming Premier League season.
