One of the most popular races in the F1 calendar and one of the most unique, is the city race and night race in Singapore, which has been run every autumn since 2008. At the Marina Bay Circuit, the world's best Formula 1 drivers meet to make up for the coveted podium and the honor of get to spray champagne as winner of the Singapore Grand Prix!

The circuit is a total of 5.06 km and a Grand Prix is run for a total of 61 laps. The fastest lap was run in 2018 by the Dane Kevin Magnusson with a time of 1: 41.90. The course is beautifully located in Downtown Core, a historic center of Singapore, with a fantastic skyline that makes itself extra beautiful during the competition as it shines in the darkness of the night.

Over the years, the Marina Bay Street Circuit has gained a reputation for being difficult to drive and at certain curves there are significant risks of exits and crashes, sometimes even more affected by Singapore's hot and humid climate. Improvements to the design have been made over time, but a common sight is still that at least one safety car per race needs to get out on the track. In addition to the risks along the circuit, it is also physically exhausting for the F1 drivers as it requires a great deal of focus and skill to achieve the best possible results during the race.

At the end of the first sector of the track, between turns 5–7, you get a chance to see most of the top speeds. Otherwise, the circuit is designed with as many as 23 turns and in the 18th, the cars also drive under a Grandstand, something that the Singapore Grand Prix is unique with among all competition tracks in the World Championship!
