This structure bears great resemblance to the ancient Yu Garden, a beautiful garden located next to the City God Temple in northeastern Shanghai.
The fastest lap on the Shanghai International Circuit has been by German F1 legend Michael Schumacher, with a time of 1: 32.24. It was also here on the Shanghai International Circuit that the German in 2006 took his last Grand Prix victory before retiring from the sport. The British Lewis Hamilton has been at the top of the podium most times in Shanghai, six times he has had to spray champagne as number 1!
