Milan 

Milan is one of Italy's largest cities and is the capital of Lombardy, which is an economically prosperous part of Italy. Milan is located in northern Italy and has about 1.4 million inhabitants.

To see and do in the city

Milan is an excellent destination for you who want to experience a lot in one place. World-class food and drink, shopping, sun, fantastic buildings and of course football. In the historic core of Milan is the city with famous buildings, such as Piazza del Duomos which is one of the world's largest churches. Also nearby is La Scala Opera House.

Travel to Milan

Getting to Milan can be done through all the Scandinavian airports and there are daily departures to the airports in Milan. To Milan you can fly to Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo, but most flights go to Malpensa or Linate. From the airports it is easy to get to the central parts of Milan by bus, taxi or train.

Football and Formula 1

AC Milan and FC Inter, two big teams that have Milan as their hometown, it is guaranteed to be a trip to remember for many years to come. They are the biggest teams and most successful clubs in Italy, supporters around the world come to see these teams meet or play against other teams. The two teams also share the home arena and they are the mighty arena Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, in many cases it is often called San Siro. The arena has a capacity of 80,000 spectators.

The Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played in both of these teams and is a well-known name for Italian football. In 2006-2009 Zlatan represented FC Inter, two years later he returned to play for the big rival AC Milan where he played for 2 seasons and then tested in other leagues and in 2019 he returned again for AC Milan.

During the autumn, the Italian Grand Prix will be run, which is a part of the Formula 1 World Championship that will be run at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, ten kilometers northeast of Milan in Italy.
